Federico Macheda has joined practically everyone else in the world of football in congratulating Sir Alex Ferguson for completing 25 years at Manchester United. It’s an incredible feat, and one which more than likely will never be repeated in the English Premier League.
Speaking on a special memorial programme dedicated to Sir Alex on MUTV, Macheda hailed Fergie’s man-management skills as the main reason he has lasted 25 years at the very top.
“He treats every player on the same level” said Federico. “You can be Wayne Rooney or a youngster like me – he treats everyone on the same level. That’s great for everyone in the team.”
Macheda has learnt a great deal from Sir Alex, and when he has made mistakes then he has felt the wrath of the manager – though he insists Fergie has always been fair to him! “Obviously there are players who are doing better but if they make a mistake he treats them like he has to. He makes them understand that they have made a mistake.”
Federico then prasies Sir Alex as being the best manager in the world. “He has achieved everything,” he added. “He is the manager who has won the most trophies in the world. To be at this club for 25 years – he must be special.””
