Arsenal’s MesutOzil was voted as the best player of Germany of 2015 as he snatched up the award for the 4th time out from the past 5 years.
The performances that MesutOzil has been displaying have not gone unnoticed as the German player has consistently been performing at a high level not only for his country, Germany but also for Arsenal.
MesutOzil gathered 45% of the votes while Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller came in 2nd place with 15% of the votes and in 3rd place was Jonas Hector of FC Köln.
Ozil provided his German teammates with 6 assists and he performed in almost all of the matches that his national team played of 2015 meanwhile with Arsenal, Ozil created 16 assists in 20 Premier League matches for Arsenal.
Germany’s Joachim Low as well as Arsenal Wenger are both hoping that MesutOzil can continue performing at this high level as Ozil will play a crucial role not only for Arsenal but also for his national side Germany in the international stage.
Arsenal is currently positioned in the top spots of the English Premier League and MesutOzil has played a key role in Arsenal’s positive start of the season as the German player has made 16 assists in 20 league appearances.
If Arsenal has any real chance of winning the Premier League in this season, Ozil has to continue performing at such a consistent high level. Germany on the other hand was pitted in Group C where they will have to face off with Northern Ireland, Poland and Ukraine in the group stages of the 2016 Euro’s and MesutOzil is one of the undispusted starters in the team Joachim Low who wants to continue helping out his national side in these stages of the tournament and eventually go on to win the title with Germany as well as with Arsenal.
