ZOLA WANTS MACHEDA

Former West Ham United manager Gianfranco Zola is interested at the possibility of bringing Manchester United striker Federico Macheda to Watford. The former West Ham United manager recently took over at Vicarage Road. He has been linked with a number of high profile players due to his ability to attract such players.

Federico Macheda has become the latest player to be linked with a loan move to Watford – with the latest mobile betting making Watford the slim favourites to get the Italian if he is allowed out on loan.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has made no secret of the fact that he would like to send the Italian striker Federico Macheda on a loan deal till the end of the season in order to provide him with experience and also to help him prove that he is capable of playing regularly for Manchester United.

Gianfranco Zola has taken over his first job in management after leaving West Ham United a few seasons ago. The Daily Star has said that the former Chelsea player is looking at the possibility of bringing the young Italian, who made his debut for Manchester United in the most stunning fashion. He scored on his debut against Aston Villa helped Manchester United win the match in the final few minutes. Since then, however, he has struggled for regular first team action due to the presence of players like Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov.

Due to the fact that it has been three seasons since Federico Macheda did anything of substance at Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson is willing to offer him one final opportunity to persuade him to keep him at Manchester United. The young striker has spent the last two seasons on loan at Sampdoria and QPR. However, he has failed to get regular first-team football even under the loan spells. As a result, Ferguson is extremely careful about choosing his next destination.
